OUR 26th YEAR of THE TARLETON FESTIVAL -
Tarleton Festival of Golf is one of the highlights of our season and we welcome back year after year many golfers who enjoy meeting up with their friends and rivals in a fun filled, relaxed environment. Post Covid the 2022 event was back in full swing with some great golf, reunions and fun. Always one of our most popular events we would recommend booking as early as possible in order to reserve your place.
Amazing value at only £979 - fun and excitement starts the minute you step off the plane.In March 2020 the Doubletree by Hilton Islantilla Golf & Beach Resort re-opened after major refurbishment and subsequently have made further improvements to the resort. Each year the staff and Islantilla team make us feel so welcome and they are looking forward to seeing everyone again in 2024.
The great flexibility of flights from many UK departure points to Faro and the wonderful service and support from the hotel have made the 4* Hotel Islantilla Golf & Beach Resort the home of the Tarleton Festival for many years. The exceptional layout of the hotel and the courses offer the perfect environment for one of our biggest competitions of the year - plus the staff are just so friendly.
The main competition is played in teams of four, which you can bring together or we will join teams up from the individual entries we have. Over the three rounds for the Festival Trophy the best two stableford points per hole from your team of four will count towards your total team score.
On Day One of the team competition you will play in your team of four. Over the next two rounds you will be mixed with other competitors however your best two scores, from your original team will still be taken to count towards your total team score.
At the end of each round we put the results into our Golf Genius computerised system to work out the leader board for teams and individuals on a day by day basis.
The other two rounds are a Texas Scramble and a Waltz. Each day we always have nearest the pin competitions and all individual competitions have mens and ladies section prizes.Add to this a BBQ after the Texas Scramble including drinks (we have a shotgun start on this day) Midweek Entertainment, 15 free drinks vouchers and a final night Gala Dinner, you can see what outstanding value this package provides.
Our Gala Dinner with a fabulous prize-winners table will round off a great week where everyone will feel they have been a winner. We are there to make sure you are looked after and that the week provides great fun, enjoyment, good golf and friendship.

HOTEL
The resort has excellent facilities including outdoor and indoor pools, spa, gymnasium, sauna and wonderful accommodation with public rooms which are large and well decorated. The spacious bedrooms are all tastefully appointed and the surrounding gardens and pool area are beautifully laid out.
There are 204 colourfully decorated rooms located over 4 floors, 97 Doubles, 88 Junior Suites, 7 Senior Suites and 12 Duplex Bungalows. Each room has a balcony, air-conditioning/heating, satellite TV, mini bar, safe & fridge. The 12 duplex garden bungalows can accommodate up to 4 persons sharing with a central lounge facility.
It also has a buffet restaurant, a-la carte restaurant, large outdoor swimming pool in a magnificent terrace with bar and grill.
There is a small shopping centre on the beach with restaurants, clothes stores and a supermarket. Transfers to the beach, shops and beach club are provided via the hotel by the famous Islantilla Train.
The resort also has a beach club with pool bar, restaurant and loungers.GOLF COURSE
With a fantastic 27 hole layout at Islantilla, excellent practice facilities and a great clubhouse you won't be disappointed with your golf location. The Golf Club with three 9-hole courses (27 holes) has views of the sea and winds through a huge pine forest, carefully designed with Pencross greens and Bermuda fairways giving the course great quality and variety. To reach the golf club you have only to walk across the square in front of the hotel and you will be greeted with a well stocked club shop, bar, restaurant and all the facilities you would expect from a first class golf resort.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Due to the current unstable nature of the exchange rate and as a result of the United Kingdom's decision to leave the European Union we reserve the right to add an exchange rate supplement of no more than £40 per person if the pound/ euro rate is below 1.10 by balance payment date.
TRANSFERS & CAR HIRE
Return Transfers are available from/to Faro airport at a fixed price of £45.00 per person return. - Car hire can also be arranged if required.
BUGGIES & ELECTRIC TROLLEYS
We would recommend a buggy for this event. Over five days of golf in the heat we do find that people are looking to hire towards the end of the week and this is not always possible. You can prebook at a cost of £15.50 per person per day (twin share). This can be added to your reservation at time of booking.
(On Texas Scramble day buggies are mandatory and will be paid on that day in resort in Euros.)Electric trolleys are also available to hire and should be reserved in advance.
