East Lothian is one of Scotland’s most picturesque counties and ideally located within an easy 30 minute reach of Edinburgh, Scotland’s Capital and one of Europe’s finest cities.
There are over 40 miles of stunning coastline to explore, some of the world’s top links golf courses, distilleries, castles and not to mention an array of fantastic local food and drink produce to indulge in!
Inspired by the great links courses of Britain, particularly those on land which are less dominated by dunes, Craigielaw is equal to many of the finest examples of such courses; some of which are conveniently located nearby in the East Lothian area. Designed by Donald Steel & Co. the course opened in 2001 and in this short period has been host to many national events, including the 2006 Scottish Amateur Strokeplay Championship and was a qualifying course for the 2007 British Seniors Open at Muirfield. Craigielaw also hosted the Scottish Seniors Open in 2019
With challenging greens, cavernous bunkers and spectacular views over the Firth of Forth, Gullane Hill and out towards Edinburgh and Fife, Craigielaw Golf Club is an experience not to be missed.
ACCOMMODATION
The Lodge
Boasting a total of 25 bedrooms, each room can be made up as either a twin or double and we offer Sea-view accommodation or courtyard accommodation.
The Lodge at Craigielaw opened in 2013. Scottish hospitality at its best, The Lodge is the ideal base for exploring ‘Scotland’s Golf Coast’ and the beautiful East Lothian coastline with its stunning beaches, castles and walks. Perfect for golfing groups, the Lodge at Craigielaw is guaranteed to please everyone.Each room is designed with the golfer in mind. Bright and airy, the bedrooms look over the golf course and a decorative courtyard.
The spacious rooms are well equipped with flat-screen t.v’s, free WiFi and tea and coffee making facilities as well as generous en-suites.
Prices quoted are per person and based on two sharing a Courtyard room, including a 2-course set dinner.
