La Cala is the biggest golf holiday and residential resort in Spain. The hotel's 107 rooms in low-rise buildings have private balconies or terraces providing views over the pool or golf course. The well-equipped rooms have a minibar, air conditioning, safe and luxury bathrooms with underfloor heating. The resort acts as the winter HQ for a variety of sports teams and so has full-sized football pitches, tennis courts, squash courts and a gym. There is a spa offering treatments, thermal circuits, sauna and steam rooms to enable you to relax and recover from your golf or for non-golfing guests to enjoy. Only minutes from the mediterranean, there is also a full range of water sports available nearby and the hotel can also arrange access to horse-riding and mountain biking for those who want to explore the local surroundings.
The hotel has a number of restaurants to choose from including the clubhouse and there are bars in the lobby and a basement sports bar.

Surrounding Area
La Cala is situated on the Costa del Sol between Sierra de MIjas natural park and the mediterranean. Although it is in a very tranquil area it is only 20 minutes from Marbella and 30 minutes from Malaga airport.

Golf
There are three 18 hole courses of differing lengths and complexity which offer challenge to golfers of all abilities and a 6 hole par 3 course to practice and hone your short-game skills.
The courses are well kept with fairways offering changes in elevation and attractive use of water hazards on the course. With three courses to choose from you can enjoy playing through the foothills or by the river. With such variety you can enjoy several days here without feeling over-familiar with the course.
